sorry a little lengthy
ok, so im starting a dance team at my high school. I typed a ltter got a petition signed by 100 people, and ahve a letter of reccomendation.I was wondering if you could read my letter and tell me if it is good or bad etc thanks!
LETTER:
To Whom This May Concern:
I am writing this letter on behalf of forming a dance team at Massapequa High School. I know many other schools both locally and not that have dance teams. I was actually inspired to do this from Career Day (career café). I was speaking with one of the individuals from the performing arts table and she was telling me how she started a dance team at her college. I do think the point of the Career Café was to take what you learned and apply it to life and what you do. I am well aware that there is Danceworks and Chiefettes. They are two great programs don’t get me wrong but, I would still like to start a legitimate dance team with auditions and everything. There is also a gymnastics team so why can’t there be a dance team too? Who is to say soccer, football, lacrosse, basketball etc. are the only sports? I feel like over the years, dance has become more so a sport rather then a hobby. My opinion is that as long as what you are doing involves a form of exercise, learning and its something you enjoy then it can be a sport. I am very determined to form a dance team at Massapequa High School and will putt all my effort into this to try to make it happen for our school. I have spoken with quite a few people from here and from the Ames Campus and they all agree with me. I will also find a coach (teacher form the school). I have a few in mind already. Also, we will hold fundraisers and carwashes to raise money that is needed. I have been dancing for fourteen years and I student teach as well so I have a lot of experience. Therefore, I would love to bring the art of dance to Massapequa High School starting in the 2009- 2010 school year. The only thing I need is the approval from you. I know you may be thinking “This is a joke”, “This can’t work”, or “It’s never going to happen.” I would deeply appreciate it if you could take this into serious consideration. It would really mean a lot to me. Thank you for taking time to read my letter.

Hey, please would you tell me what my chances are or just give me some advice about getting into Brown or any other of the Ivies for that matter
BIO:
-Male
-Caucasian
-South African
-17 Years Old
ACADEMICS:
-I have an 85% Aggregate
-SA Does not have AP, Honours Classes etc. Everyone writes the same exam in their final year.
-I know that SA’s curriculum is a little bit harder than that of the USA. I have spoken to my councillor. Therefore my GPA will be let’s say roughly a 3.8.
-I take seven subjects.
Compulsory: English, Life Skills, Afrikaans (We have to take a 2nd language), Mathematics (We have a choice between Maths and Maths Literacy).
Other 3 (We have to choose only 3 more): Physical Science, Dramatic Arts and Accountancy.
-I will be taking the SAT this year.
AWARDS:
-School ‘Colours’ for Surfing and Academics.
-School ‘Half Colours’ for Drama.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
-Prefect 2009-2010.
-A Council member of the RCL. (Representative Council of Learners)
-Completed a Certified Leadership Course.
-Completed a Certified Television Presenting and Communication Skills course.
-Accepted to participate in a youth exchange programme (short term).
-100 Hours CS.
-Member of the Rotary Interact Club.

1. There will be an NFL team in LA by 2011
2. The Charlotte Bobcats will surprise the NBA in the 2008-2009 season by winning their first playoff series (They’ll have some upgrades this off season)

I’m from India.I’m in my 2nd PU.I got a 1990 on the SAT.I’m planning to apply to T A&M U,U of washington,U of minnesoto,Penn state,purdue,Georgia tech,NSU,Virginia tech and OSU for fall 2010 computer engineering major.Do i stand any chances?Will i qualify for any scholarships reserved for international students?My average high school scores are around 93%.How much will that translate to in US GPA.I’m also involved in Soccer.Will taking the SAT again with better scores help me or are my current scores sufficient?

I’ve always been kind of interested in joining a sports team for high school, but never really thought of it much. But, I am really considering joining the cross country team for the fall of the 2009-2010 school year. My school has a lot of kids on team, so I do not think they cut… they just bring you to varsity if you are very good.
But, like I said, I have never done a sport in high school or middle school (played little league baseball and soccer when I was 8 which weren’t real obviously lol). I can run a mile in about 7 1/2 -8 something minutes (planning on lowering it over the summer). The main motivation about joining would be to get in shape and be with my friends. I also have asthma, but in recent years, it really hasn’t been any problem at all.
Will I look dumb/stupid if I join seeing as I haven’t been in it before… especially since its my last year in high school? And is it worth it? What is it like being on a cross country team? Thanks for answering my questions

Maradona is, almost inarguably, the best Argentine player of all time, and definitely one of the best players EVER. I am a great supporter of Argentine soccer, but I must admit I was a little surprised at the choice of him as coach, what with his drug problems and such. I feel like he’s a wild card that might (once again) take Argentine to victory in 2010, or who might prove to be a disaster… What do you all think?

Here is a description of Juli.
She is obsessed with Bryce who moves next door during 2nd grade. Bryce hates her so by 7th grade she takes the hint. She follows him every where. She is a big nature girl, poor money wise, has a loving family, smart. She plays soccer and climbs trees. She is described in the book to have brown hair, freckles, and short.
I would really like to see her get this part in the movie. The casting directors are Allison Bader, Jeff Mitchell, and Jennifer Rudolf. How can I tell them I would like her to play Juli in the movie?

I am an American who has become quiet a soccer fan this past season (and my team are the gunners, thanks to a friend who first introduced me). I want to get myself a Arsenal jersey but am having trouble deciding which player to get…I have narrowed it down to Walcott, Adebayor, Fabergas and Nasri. I want to get a player who will be with the team for a while. I really like how Walcott plays but I know he’s only under contract til 2010, will demand alot of money (will the gunners spend it) and is drawing alot of attention from other top squads (including the team he rooted for as a kid-Liverpool) , I also really like Adebayor but I know Chelsea and Milan are throwing big money at him trying to get him this summer. It seems like Cesc will be with the team for a good while but I don’t like him as much as Emmanual or Theo. I like Nasri also but don’t know what his contract status is..
I don’t know how these summer transfers work since I’ve only been following this season, so if anyone can give me imput on my decision it’d be greatly appreciated
